Did some abstracts in bryce and notice that you can get a shiny black metal that stays black under bright lights. In other apps the material turns grey depending on how bright
the light is. Also you do not have access to the infinite planes, I found that to be pretty useful for some pictures.

Maybe you have to turn the diffuse down really low?
Maybe a black diffuse map would work?
Since I still have my copy of bryce I did not spend too much time to find out how to simulate bryce type metals.
